I recently bought the UniFi G5 Flex camera to add to my Protect system and on first impression I was surprised at how small it is.

The box, same as other UniFi devices, simple box with easy to open pull tab.

Open the box to reveal all that is inside

Camera itself, poll/wall mount and a couple of different bottom pieces. One simple one for table and indoor use and the other more rounded better if using outdoor.

A couple cable ties for poll mounting and a couple screws and plugs.

Picture doesn’t give it justice at how small it is.
The camera is PoE (powered over Ethernet) so it gets powered from the switch. Adopting is like anything UniFi, simple and quick, it popped up shortly after powering it up.
The camera is 2K 4MP 2688 x 1512 (16:9) (tech specs) and has a very good 102.4° viewing angle which is one of UniFi’s widest.
In conclusion I find this a very good camera at a good price and I would definitely purchase more if the need arises. Although the next camera I have my eye on is the G5 Turret Ultra, since it has the same lens but is better suited for outside on a wall and is cheaper! This G5 Flex seems best suited for indoor use in the corner of a room.
